Stephanie Cowan is a Toronto-based script supervisor and director. She is currently completing a certificate in Daniela Saioni’s Director Whisperer training program for script supervisors alongside studying film production at Humber College.
She previously studied linguistics at Western University and enjoys merging her passion for language and filmmaking in projects like her short documentary “Not Just Words”.
Stephanie has always had a wide range of interests in filmmaking, exemplified by her recent work as an editor, digital information technician, behind-the-scenes photographer, sound recordist, and unit publicist. She has worked on personal film projects since long before enrolling in film school.
From selling popcorn at cinemas as a teenager to serving coffee on film sets, Stephanie’s passion for storytelling has always led her toward a career in film.
